Who we are

Meet Sylvie and Jeni,

Two very passionate riders that have ridden since a very young age, with a wide experience in the world of horses.

Sylvie started to ride at the age of 4 years old in the Australian outback mustering cattle as her father was a Jackaroo on a ranch in Australia.

She later returned to Switzerland where she raced in Flat Gallop races following after her fathers foot steps as a Jockey in steeplechase, flat, Cross-country races and later on in life in trotters.

Jenifer Sylvie's daughter also started riding at the very young age of 4 years old. She pursued Show jumping, where both Sylvie and Jenifer went on to Grand-prix level.

But Jenifer found a deeper passion for working with wild horses and working with problem horses.

Jenifer also found her talent for breaking in and starting young horses.

One of which was the great AP NINJA which came to them as a dog meet horse, that they started and later on matched with a grand prix rider. Who reached World cup Level in show jumping, in New Zealand and Australia, taking many wins!

The Girls then fell in love with the discipline of Working Equitation and Cowboy Challenge. As for them, these two disciplines really meet their values. An easy sport on the horse's body as well as demonstrating true horsemanship, as it takes true subtilty & trust for a horse to overcome these spooky obstacles.

The Girls also take safety on horseback very seriously and go to extreme lengths to get horses as safe as possible in all sorts of stressful situations.

To ensure riders, some safe fun on horseback, hence where the Imperial Method was developed.

The method is concentrated on retraining the natural behaviour of horses as well as bad behaviour learned from past rider, Such as:

-Bolting home

- Exploding during group rides

-Wanting to escape the arena or stickiness to the exit, developing dangerous behaviour to avoid work.

-Overactivity/Spookiness

-Dangerous or aggressive behaviour on the ground

-Trailer loading issues etc...

The girls have a high respect for each horse and take the time to evaluate their strong and weak points to ensure they train each horse for what they judge the horse will be best suited in life.

There is no point in trying to force a laid-back horse to become a forward horse, or trying to make a forward horse become kick along.

Each horse has his qualities to meet different disciplines and suit different riders, and it's their passion to match Horse and rider.

The girls get immense satisfaction from seeing new owners over the moon with their new horse and that they say is the reward, for all the hard work that goes into each horse.

The Golden rule at" La Méthode Équine Impériale" is;

"That there exists a horse for every rider and lying in order to get a sale in not necessary, honesty is key !"

At the Imperial Method, there exists no pretentiousness, the girls are humble, kind and understanding.

They respect and listen to their Horses and future owners needs!

They look forward to talking with you and making your dream become a reality!
